lanai hawaii desk calendar

If you’d like to...

Posted: December 6th, 2013 | Comments Off

From this photo sent to us by the staff at Four Seasons Lana’i Resort at Manele Bay, Santa appears to be having a great time exploring the island. He’s making the read the full article »

Should I bring snorkel gear to Hawaii?

Posted: December 2nd, 2013 | Comments Off

Hawaii snorkel fish

We are often asked if it’s a good idea to bring snorkel gear to Hawaii. Unless you already own good quality snorkel gear that you love and have the room to pack it in your luggage, we don’t really recommend bringing snorkel gear from home. With the cost of checked luggage, every inch of space in your baggage is very valuable. You must consider whether the space that snorkel gear uses in your luggage is worth it to you or not.

Aloha Friday Photo: Oahu’s Hanauma Bay

Mahalo to Rochelle Rebello for sending this beautiful panoramic shot of Hanauma Bay on Oahu — one of Hawaii’s most popular snorkeling spots. I love how Rochelle’s shot captures this expanse of warm golden sand, clear blue water and the reefs all naturally sheltered by the bay.
